Abhimanyunidhana-prakāśaḥ — Vasudeva–Kṛṣṇa–Subhadrā–Kuntī śoka-saṃvāda
Disclosure and Consolation
अकरोत् स ततः काल॑ शरतल्पगतो मुनि: । अयनं दक्षिण हित्वा सम्प्राप्ते चोत्तरायणे
akarot sa tataḥ kālaṁ śaratālpagato muniḥ | ayanaṁ dakṣiṇaṁ hitvā samprāpte cottarāyaṇe ||
ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਫਿਰ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੈਯਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਉਸ ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ ਦੱਖਣਾਯਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੀ; ਜਦ ਉਹ ਕਾਲ ਮੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਯਨ ਆਇਆ, ਤਦ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ—ਵ੍ਰਤ-ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੰਯਮ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ।
