Transliteration

brahmovāca | rajo’ham vaḥ pravakṣyāmi yāthātathyena sattamāḥ | nibodhata mahābhāgā guṇavṛttaṃ ca rājasam ||

Translation

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਸਦਗੁਣੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਰਿਸ਼ਿਓ! ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਜੋਗੁਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਹੇ ਮਹਾਭਾਗਵਾਨੋ, ਰਾਜਸ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ-ਢਾਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ।
