चित्रशालाक्ष विविधास्तोरणानि च भारत । शाद्वलोपचितां भूमिं तथा काञ्चनकुट्टिमाम्‌

Transliteration

citraśālā-kṣāḥ vividhās toraṇāni ca bhārata | śādvalopacitāṃ bhūmiṃ tathā kāñcana-kuṭṭimām ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ, ਉੱਥੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਜੀਆਂ ਚਿੱਤਰਸ਼ਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਰਣ ਸਨ; ਧਰਤੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਤਾਜ਼ੇ ਹਰੇ ਘਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੜ੍ਹੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਫਰਸ਼ੀ ਸੀ।
