Adhyāya 57: Tapas–Dāna Phala
On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving
ततो ददर्श नृपति: प्रासादं सर्वकाउ्चनम् । मणिस्तम्भसहस्राढ्यं गन्धर्वनगरोपमम्
tato dadarśa nṛpatiḥ prāsādaṃ sarva-kāñcanam | maṇi-stambha-sahasrāḍhyaṃ gandharva-nagaropamam ||
ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਸਾਦ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਮਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੜੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸਤੰਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਸਾਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੰਧਰਵ-ਨਗਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ।
