गोमूल्यनिर्णयः — The Determination of Value through the Cow

आत्मानमाख्याति हि कर्मभिर्नर: सुशीलचारित्रकुलै: शुभाशुभै: । प्रणष्टमप्याशु कुलं तथा नर: पुन: प्रकाशं कुरुते स्वकर्मत:
ātmānam ākhyāti hi karmabhir naraḥ suśīlacāritrakulaiḥ śubhāśubhaiḥ | praṇaṣṭam apy āśu kulaṃ tathā naraḥ punaḥ prakāśaṃ kurute svakarmataḥ ||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ-ਅਸ਼ੁਭ ਕਰਮਾਂ, ਸ਼ੀਲ, ਆਚਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਲ-ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੁਲ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੁਮਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਮ-ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੁੜ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
