प्रतर्दनो दिवोदास: सुदास: कोसलेश्वर: । ऐलो नलश्न राजर्षिमिनुश्चैव प्रजापति:
pratardano divodāsaḥ sudāsaḥ kosaleśvaraḥ | ailo nalaś ca rājarṣir manuś caiva prajāpatiḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਣੋ: ਪ੍ਰਤਾਰਦਨ, ਦਿਵੋਦਾਸ, ਕੋਸਲ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਪਤੀ ਸੁਦਾਸ, ਐਲ (ਪੁਰੂਰਵਾ), ਰਾਜਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨਲ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤੀ ਮਨੂ। ਇਹ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਪੁੰਨਾਤਮਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਤਕਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਝ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਮ-ਫਲ ਦਾ ਭਾਗੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।”
