Anuśāsana-parva 17
अजश्च बहुरूपश्च गन्धधारी कपर्द्यपि । ऊर्ध्वरेता ऊर्ध्वलिड्र ऊर्ध्शायी नभःस्थल:
ajaś ca bahurūpaś ca gandhadhārī kapardy api | ūrdhvaretā ūrdhvaliḍra ūrdhvaśāyī nabhaḥsthalaḥ ||
ਵਾਯੁ-ਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਉਹ ਅਜਨਮਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ; ਸੁਗੰਧ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਵੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਊਰਧਵਗਾਮੀ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਊਰਧਵ, ਪਰਾਤੀਤ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਦਾ ਤੇ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਯਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
