ततो विततथन््वानं द्रोणस्तं कुरुनन्दनम् । स मुहूर्तादुवाचेदं वचन भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ] तब धनुष तानकर खड़े हुए कुरुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरसे दो घड़ी बाद आचार्य द्रोणने इस प्रकार कहा--
tato vitatadhanvānaṃ droṇas taṃ kurunandanam | sa muhūrtād uvācedaṃ vacanaṃ bharatarṣabha ||
ਫਿਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਤਾਣ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੁਰੂ-ਨੰਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦ੍ਰੋਣਾਚਾਰਯ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਪਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਹੇ ਭਰਤ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕਿਹਾ।
