न पूजिता मया देवा गावो ऽप्यतिथयस्तथा / न कदाचित् कृतं पुण्यमल्पं वा स्वल्पमेव वा
na pūjitā mayā devā gāvo 'pyatithayastathā / na kadācit kṛtaṃ puṇyamalpaṃ vā svalpameva vā
“ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਨਾ ਗਊਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਤਿਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ—ਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ, ਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਵੀ।”
