अथात: श्रूयतां वंशो योऽदितेरनुपूर्वश: । यत्र नारायणो देव: स्वांशेनावातरद्विभु: ॥ ३८ ॥ विवस्वानर्यमा पूषा त्वष्टाथ सविता भग: । धाता विधाता वरुणो मित्र: शत्रु उरुक्रम: ॥ ३९ ॥
athātaḥ śrūyatāṁ vaṁśo yo ’diter anupūrvaśaḥ yatra nārāyaṇo devaḥ svāṁśenāvātarad vibhuḥ
ਹੁਣ ਅਦਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸੁਣੋ; ਇਸੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਦੇਵ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਾਂਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਅਵਤਰਿਤ ਹੋਏ। ਅਦਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ—ਵਿਵਸਵਾਨ, ਅਰਯਮਾ, ਪੂਸ਼ਾ, ਤ੍ਵਸ਼ਟਾ, ਸਵਿਤਾ, ਭਗ, ਧਾਤਾ, ਵਿਧਾਤਾ, ਵਰੁਣ, ਮਿਤ੍ਰ, ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰੁ ਅਤੇ ਉਰੁਕ੍ਰਮ।
