रजोभि: समसङ्ख्याता: पार्थिवैरिह जन्तव: । तेषां ये केचनेहन्ते श्रेयो वै मनुजादय: ॥ ३ ॥

rajobhiḥ sama-saṅkhyātāḥ pārthivair iha jantavaḥ teṣāṁ ye kecanehante śreyo vai manujādayaḥ

ਇਸ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਮਾਣੂਆਂ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਸੰਖ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਲੋਕ ਧਰਮ-ਮਾਰਗ ਦਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਯ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
