There is a Bengali saying that if a vulture curses a cow to die, the curse will not be effective. Similarly, accusations made by demoniac persons against devotees of Kṛṣṇa cannot have any effect. The demigods are devotees of Lord Kṛṣṇa, and therefore the curses of the demons were futile.
This verse states that when great souls are favorable to Kṛṣṇa, the efforts of opponents become fruitless—petty tactics and harsh speech cannot bring real victory over those under divine favor.
In the narrative of the Devas vs. the Daityas, Śukadeva highlights a spiritual principle: material power and repeated aggression fail when opposed to those aligned with Kṛṣṇa’s will and protected by devotion.
Stay steady in devotional integrity and right conduct; harsh words and small-minded opposition lose power when you remain aligned with Kṛṣṇa through sincere bhakti, humility, and perseverance.
