Āgnīdhra Meets Pūrvacitti and Begets the Nine Sons of Jambūdvīpa
शिष्या इमे भगवत: परित: पठन्तिगायन्ति साम सरहस्यमजस्रमीशम् । युष्मच्छिखाविलुलिता: सुमनोऽभिवृष्टी:सर्वे भजन्त्यृषिगणा इव वेदशाखा: ॥ ९ ॥
śiṣyā ime bhagavataḥ paritaḥ paṭhanti gāyanti sāma sarahasyam ajasram īśam yuṣmac-chikhā-vilulitāḥ sumano ’bhivṛṣṭīḥ sarve bhajanty ṛṣi-gaṇā iva veda-śākhāḥ
ਅਗਨੀਧ੍ਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਗੂੰਜਦੇ ਭੌਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਰਾਧ੍ਯ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਸਾਮਵੇਦ ਦੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਨਿਸ਼ਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੂੜ੍ਹ ਭੇਦ ਸਮੇਤ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਈਸ਼ਵਰ ਦੀ ਸ্তুਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਝੜਦੀ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਉਹ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵੇਦ-ਸ਼ਾਖਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
