गुरुश्च रन्तिदेवश्च सङ्कृते: पाण्डुनन्दन । रन्तिदेवस्य महिमा इहामुत्र च गीयते ॥ २ ॥
guruś ca rantidevaś ca saṅkṛteḥ pāṇḍu-nandana rantidevasya mahimā ihāmutra ca gīyate
ਹੇ ਪਾਂਡੁਨੰਦਨ ਪਰੀਕਸ਼ਿਤ! ਸੰਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ—ਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਤਿਦੇਵ। ਰੰਤਿਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ; ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਹੈ।
