एता: कुरुश्रेष्ठ जगद्विधातु- र्नारायणस्याखिलसत्त्वधाम्न: । लीलाकथास्ते कथिता: समासत: कार्त्स्‍न्येन नाजोऽप्यभिधातुमीश: ॥ ३९ ॥

Transliteration

etāḥ kuru-śreṣṭha jagad-vidhātur nārāyaṇasyākhila-sattva-dhāmnaḥ līlā-kathās te kathitāḥ samāsataḥ kārtsnyena nājo ’py abhidhātum īśaḥ

Translation

ਹੇ ਕੁਰੂਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਸੱਤਾ ਦੇ ਧਾਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਲੀਲਾ-ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ; ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਸਵੈੰ ਅਜ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ) ਵੀ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ।
