यथा घनोऽर्कप्रभवोऽर्कदर्शितो ह्यर्कांशभूतस्य च चक्षुषस्तम: । एवं त्वहं ब्रह्मगुणस्तदीक्षितो ब्रह्मांशकस्यात्मन आत्मबन्धन: ॥ ३२ ॥

Transliteration

yathā ghano ’rka-prabhavo ’rka-darśito hy arkāṁśa-bhūtasya ca cakṣuṣas tamaḥ evaṁ tv ahaṁ brahma-guṇas tad-īkṣito brahmāṁśakasyātmana ātma-bandhanaḥ

Translation

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਦਲ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਅੰਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਨੇਤਰ ਲਈ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਂਸ਼ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
