Kūrma Supports Mandara; Hālahala Appears; Śiva Becomes Nīlakaṇṭha
इति तूष्णीं स्थितान्दैत्यान् विलोक्य पुरुषोत्तम: । स्मयमानो विसृज्याग्रं पुच्छं जग्राह सामर: ॥ ४ ॥
iti tūṣṇīṁ sthitān daityān vilokya puruṣottamaḥ smayamāno visṛjyāgraṁ pucchaṁ jagrāha sāmaraḥ
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੈਤ ਚੁੱਪਚਾਪ ਖੜੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼ੋਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੁਸਕੁਰਾਏ। ਬਿਨਾ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗਲਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਸੱਪ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਛ ਫੜ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਲਏ।
