Sukta 89
प्रीतिसंजननम्। इदं यत् प्रेण्यः शिरो दत्तं सोमेन वृष्ण्यम्। ततः परि प्रजातेन हार्दिं ते शोचयामसि
prītí-saṁjánanam | idáṁ yát preṇyáḥ śíro dáttaṁ sómena vṛ́ṣṇyam | tátaḥ pári prájātena hārdíṁ te śocayāmasi ||
A begetter of affection is this: that dear head-gift, bestowed with Soma’s virile might. Therefrom, with what is born thereof, we cause thy heart’s distress to waste away round about.
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਸੋਮ ਦੇ ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣ੍ਯ (ਵੀਰ੍ਯ) ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸ਼ਿਰੋਦਾਨ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਘਟਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
