यत् किं चेदं वरुण दैव्ये जनेऽभिद्रोहं मनुष्या३श्चरन्ति । अचित्त्या चेत् तव धर्मा युयोपिम मा नस्तस्मादेनसो देव रीरिषः
yát kíṃ cedáṃ váruṇa daivyé jáne ’bhidróhaṃ manuṣyā́ś cáranti | ácittyā cét táva dhármān yuyopíma mā́ naḥ tásmād énaso deva rīriṣaḥ |
Whatsoever here—O Varuṇa—in the divine folk, as hostile wrong, men practise; if, unwitting, we have overstepped thy ordinances, from that, from guilt, O God, do thou not harm us.
ਹੇ ਵਰੁਣ, ਇੱਥੇ ਦੈਵੀ ਜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੈਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ-ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ—ਜੇ ਅਣਜਾਣੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ-ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ਹੋਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੋਸ਼ ਤੋਂ, ਉਸ ਪਾਪ ਤੋਂ, ਹੇ ਦੇਵ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ।
