Sukta 23
अपां भैषज्यम्। सस्रुषीस्तदपसो दिवा नक्तं च सस्रुषीः । वरेण्यक्रतुरहमपो देवीरुप ह्वये
apā́m bhaiṣajyám | sasruṣī́s tád apáso dívā náktaṃ ca sasruṣī́ḥ | váreṇyakratur ahám ápo devī́r úpa hvaye
The Waters’ remedy: swift-flowing are those waters—swift-flowing by day and swift-flowing by night. I, of choice resolve, call hither the divine Waters.
ਅਪਾਂ ਭੈਸ਼ਜ੍ਯਮ੍—ਜਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ. ਉਹ ਜਲ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ—ਦਿਨੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼, ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼. ਮੈਂ, ਵਰੈਣ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਰਤੁ (ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਕਲਪ) ਨਾਲ, ਦੇਵੀ ਆਪಃ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
