शतं च मे सहस्रं चापवक्तार ओषधे । ऋतजात ऋतावरि मधु मे मधुला करः

IAST Transliteration

śatáṃ ca mé sahásraṃ cāpavaktā́ra oṣadhe | ṛtájāta ṛtā́vari mádhu me madhulā́ karáḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

A hundred for me, and a thousand—O Herb—(be thou) the repellers. Born of Ṛta, O Ṛta-covering one: make for me sweetness, make (all) honeyed.

Translation

ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸੌ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ—ਹੇ ਓਸ਼ਧੀ—(ਤੂੰ) ਅਪਵਕਤਾਰ (ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ/ਨਿਵਾਰਕ) ਹੋ। ਰਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੀ ਹੋਈ, ਹੇ ਰਿਤਾਵਰੀ (ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ/ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ), ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮਧੁ (ਮਾਧੁਰਤਾ) ਕਰ; ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮਧੁਮਯ ਕਰ।
