वयमु त्वामपूर्व्य स्थूरं न कच्चिद् भरन्तोऽवस्यवः । वाजे चित्रं हवामहे

IAST Transliteration

vayám u tvā́m apū́rvya sthū́raṃ ná kaccíd bháranto ’vasyávaḥ | vā́je citráṃ havāmahe

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

We, craving succour, bearing our gifts, invoke thee indeed, O Unrivalled, the Stout—like none that is anywhere—for splendid aid in the winning of the prize.

Translation

ਅਸੀਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੇ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਹੇ ਅਪੂਰਵ (ਅਨੁਪਮ), ਸਥੂਲ—ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ—ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਦੇ ਹਾਂ; ਇਨਾਮ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ (ਉੱਤਮ) ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ।
