कण्वेभिर्धृष्णवा धृषद् वाजं दर्षि सहस्रिणम्। पिशङ्गरूपं मघवन् विचर्षणे मक्षू गोमन्तमीमहे

IAST Transliteration

kaṇvébhir dhṛṣṇavā dhṛṣád vā́jaṃ darṣi sahasríṇam | piśáṅgarūpaṃ maghavan vicarṣaṇe mákṣu gómantam īmahe ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

With the Kaṇvas, O bold one, thou grantest boldly the prize, thousandfold. The tawny-formed, O bounteous, far-seeing one—quickly we implore thee for cattle-rich gain.

Translation

ਹੇ ਧ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੁ (ਧੀਰ) ਵੀਰ! ਕਣਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਧ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਦ—ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ—ਸਹਸ੍ਰਿਣ (ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਗੁਣਾ) ਵਾਜ (ਇਨਾਮ/ਵਿਜੈ-ਧਨ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਮਘਵਨ (ਦਾਨਵੀਰ), ਵਿਚਰਸ਼ਣੇ (ਦੂਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ)! ਪਿਸ਼ੰਗਰੂਪ (ਤਾਮ੍ਰਵਰਨ ਰੂਪ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਗੋਮੰਤ (ਗਾਂਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ) ਲਾਭ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
