Sukta 53
क ईं वेद सुते सचा पिबन्तं कद् वयो दधे । अयं यः पुरो विभिनत्त्योजसा मन्दानः शिप्र्यन्धसः
ká īṃ veda suté sacā píbantaṃ kád váyo dadhe | ayáṃ yáḥ púro vibhínatty ójasā mandānáḥ śípry ándhasaḥ ||
Who, verily, knows him—drinking in company at the Soma pressed—what vital might he hath assumed? This is he who shatters forts by force, exhilarated, O Śipri, with the Soma’s juice.
ਸੋਮ ਪੀੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਸੁਤੇ) ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਹੈ? ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ; ਹੇ ਸ਼ਿਪ੍ਰੀ, ਸੋਮ-ਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਸਤ (ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ) ਹੋਇਆ।
