प्र मंहिष्ठाय बृहते बृहद्रये सत्यशुष्माय तवसे मतिं भरे । अपामिव प्रवणे यस्य दुर्धरं राधो विश्वायु शवसे अपावृतम्

IAST Transliteration

prá maṃhiṣṭhā́ya bṛhaté bṛhádraye satyá-śuṣmā́ya távase matíṃ bhare | apā́m-iva praváṇe yásya durdháraṃ rā́dho viśvā́yu śávase apā́vṛtam ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Forth do I bring my thought to him most bounteous, great, of great riches, of true might, the strong; whose bounty, hard to be withstood, like waters on a slope, is opened out, unobstructed, life-bestowing, by his power.

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਤਿ ਅੱਗੇ ਧਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਾਤੇ, ਮਹਾਨ, ਮਹਾ-ਧਨਵਾਨ, ਸੱਚੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ—ਰੋਕਣਾ ਔਖਾ—ਢਲਾਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਿੰਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਬਿਨਾ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ, ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਯੁ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਦਾਤਾ), ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਵਸ (ਬਲ) ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ।
