Sukta 59
आ देवानामपि पन्थामगन्म यच्छक्नवाम तदनुप्रवोढुम्। अग्निर्विद्वान्त्स यजात् स इद्धोता सोऽध्वरान्त्स ऋतून् कल्पयाति
ā́ devā́nām ápi pánthām aganma yác chaknávāma tád anupravóḍhum | agnír vidvā́n sá yajā́t sá íd dhótā só ’dhvarā́n sá ṛtū́n kalpayāti ||
Up to the very path of the Gods have we advanced, so far as we have power to bear the work onward in due course. Let Agni, the knowing one, sacrifice: he indeed is Hotar; he orders the sacrifices, he sets the seasons in their right array.
ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੱਕ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧੇ ਹਾਂ—ਜਿੰਨੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਹੈ, ਉਤਨਾ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਯਥਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਅੱਗੇ ਢੋਣ ਲਈ। ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਅਗਨੀ ਯਜਨ ਕਰੇ; ਉਹੀ ਹੋਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਧਵਰਾਂ (ਯਜਨ-ਕਰਮਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
