जगतो राजा इन्द्रो राजा जगतश्चर्षणीनामधि क्षमि विषुरूपं यदस्ति । ततो ददाति दाशुषे वसूनि चोदद् राध उपस्तुतश्चिदर्वाक्

IAST Transliteration

jágato rājā índro rājā jágatas carṣaṇīnā́m ádhi kṣámi víṣurūpaṃ yád ásti | táto dadāti dāśúṣe vásūni códád rā́dha úpastutaś cid árvāk ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Indra is King of the moving world, King of the world and of the tribes of men; over earth he rules whatever of manifold form exists. Thence he bestows riches on the pious giver; his bounty, though but praised, is urged hitherward unto us.

Translation

ਚਲਦੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਇੰਦਰ ਹੈ; ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਕਬੀਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਨੇਕ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਸਭ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਪਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਦਾਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਭਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਸੂ (ਧਨ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕੇਵਲ ਸਤੁਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਵੇ।
