Sukta 4
आ यात पितरः सोम्यासो गम्भीरैः पथिभिः पितृयाणैः । आयुरस्मभ्यं दधतः प्रजां च रायश्च पोषैरभि नः सचध्वम्
ā́ yāta pitaraḥ somyā́so gambhīráiḥ pathíbhiḥ pitṛyā́naiḥ | ā́yur asmábhyaṃ dádhataḥ prajā́ṃ ca rā́yaś ca póṣair abhí naḥ sacadhvam ||
Come hither, O Fathers, soma-loving, by the deep paths, the Fathers’ ways. Bestowing upon us life and progeny, with wealth and with prosperings—cleave ye unto us.
ਆਓ, ਹੇ ਪਿਤਰੋ, ਸੋਮ-ਪ੍ਰਿਯੋ, ਗੰਭੀਰ ਪਿਤ੍ਰਯਾਣ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਯੁ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸ਼ਣਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ—ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹੋ।
