अपूपवान् घृतवांश्चरुरेह सीदतु । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ

IAST Transliteration

apūpavā́n ghr̥tavā́ṁś carúr eha sī́datu | lokakŕ̥taḥ pathikŕ̥to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṁ hutabhā́gā ihá stha ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Let the cooked oblation, furnished with cake and rich in ghee, sit down here. We sacrifice unto the World-makers, the Path-makers—those who, of the Gods, possess a share in the offered gift—be ye here present.

Translation

ਅਪੂਪ (ਕੇਕ) ਸਮੇਤ ਅਤੇ ਘ੍ਰਿਤ (ਘੀ) ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਚਰੁ (ਪੱਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਵਿ) ਇੱਥੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਵੇ। ਲੋਕਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਥਿਕ੍ਰਿਤ—ਦੇਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੂਤਭਾਗ (ਹਵਿ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ) ਹੈ—ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਜਦੇ ਹਾਂ; ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹੋ।
