धर्ता ह त्वा धरुणो धारयाता ऊर्ध्वं भानुं सविता द्यामिवोपरि । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ

IAST Transliteration

dhartā́ ha tvā dharuṇó dhārayātā ūrdhvám bhānúṃ savitā́ dyā́m iva úpari | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṃ hutábhāgā ihá sthá ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

The Holder—yea, the firm Support—shall hold thee fast; Savitar hath set the beam aloft, as ’twere the sky above. We worship the World-ordainers, the Path-ordainers, who have their portion in the offered gift: be present here.

Translation

ਧਰਤਾ—ਹਾਂ, ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਆਧਾਰ—ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਡੋਲ ਧਾਰੇ ਰੱਖੇ; ਸਵਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੇ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਪਰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਕ੍ਰਿਤ (ਲੋਕ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਤਾ) ਅਤੇ ਪਥਿਕ੍ਰਿਤ (ਮਾਰਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਤਾ) ਦੀ ਯਜਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁਤਭਾਗ (ਹਵਨ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ; ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਉਪਸਥਿਤ ਰਹੋ।
