तस्य व्रात्यस्य । योऽस्य प्रथमः प्राण ऊर्ध्वो नामायं सो अग्निः
IAST Transliteration
tásya vrā́tyasya | yó ’sya prathamáḥ prāṇá ūrdhvó nā́māyáṃ sá agníḥ
English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)
Of that Vratya: that which is his first vital breath, named ‘Upward’—this verily is Agni.
Translation
ਉਸ ਵ੍ਰਾਤ੍ਯ ਦਾ—ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ‘ਊਰਧ੍ਵ’ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ—ਉਹੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਹੈ।
