सूर्यस्याश्वा हरयः केतुमन्तः सदा वहन्त्यमृताः सुखं रथम्। घृतपावा रोहितो भ्राजमानो दिवं देवः पृषतीमा विवेश

IAST Transliteration

sū́ryasyā́śvā́ hárayaḥ ketumántaḥ sádā vahanty amṛ́tāḥ súkhaṃ rátham | ghṛtapā́vā róhito bhrā́jamāno dívaṃ deváḥ pṛ́ṣatīm ā́ viveśa

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

The Sun’s steeds, the tawny, sign-bearers, ever bear the chariot, deathless, moving in ease. Rohita, ghee-purified, shining, the god, hath entered into heaven, into the Spotted One.

Translation

ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਅਸ਼ਵ—ਹਰੇ-ਪੀਲੇ ਵਰਣ ਦੇ, ਕੇਤੁਮੰਤ (ਧ੍ਵਜ-ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹਧਾਰੀ)—ਸਦਾ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਦੇ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਢੋਦੇ ਹਨ। ਘ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਵਿਤ, ਚਮਕਦਾ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਦੇਵ ਦਿਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ—ਪૃਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
