(४) यदर्वाचीनं त्रैहायणादनृतं किं चोदिम। आपो मा तस्मात् सर्वस्माद् दुरितात् पान्त्वंहसः
yád arvācī́naṁ traihāyaṇā́d anṛ́taṁ kíṁ codim | ā́po mā tásmāt sárvasmād duritā́t pā́ntv áṁhasaḥ ||
What hitherward fault, what falsehood from the tri-hāyana course—whatsoever thing at all we have spoken forth—O Waters, from that, from every evil-going, from anguish of sin, do ye protect me.
ਤ੍ਰੈਹਾਯਣ ਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ (ਤਿੰਨ-ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੋਂ) ਜੋ ਵੀ ਇੱਧਰਵੱਲ ਦੋਸ਼, ਜੋ ਵੀ ਝੂਠ—ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਬੋਲ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ—ਹੇ ਆਪಃ (ਜਲ-ਦੇਵੀਆਂ), ਉਸ ਤੋਂ, ਹਰ ਦੁਰਿਤ ਤੋਂ, ਪਾਪ-ਜਨਿਤ ਅੰਹਸ (ਕਲੇਸ਼) ਤੋਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
