आशानिर्वेदिपरिसृप्तयोराशानिर्वेदि लब्धाभिप्रायं युध्येत न परिसृप्तमपसृतमुख्यम् ॥ कZ_०८.५.०८ ॥
Transliteration
āśānirvediparisṛptayor āśānirvedi labdhābhiprāyaṃ yudhyeta na parisṛptam apasṛtamukhyam
Translation
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਛਿਤਰ-ਬਿਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ—ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਉਸ ਛਿਤਰ-ਬਿਤਰ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਲ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
