Transliteration

tasmād imaṃ dvyakṣaṃ sahasrākṣam āhuḥ

Translation

ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਹਸ੍ਰਾਕਸ਼’ (ਹਜ਼ਾਰ‑ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ) ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
