ਇਹ ਇਕਾਈ ਅਗਨੀਪੁਰਾਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਕਰਣ-ਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਕਾਰਕ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ-ਸੂਚਨਾ ਹੈ; ਕੋਲੋਫਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਰਕ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਵਿਆਕਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਐਸੀ ਵਿਧਿਵਤ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਜ੍ਞਕਰਮ, ਨਿਆਂ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਕੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਬਾਅਦ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ‘ਸਮਾਸ’ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਣ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ—ਕਾਰਕ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਰੂਪ-ਅਰਥ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਮਬੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ, ਅਗਨੇਯ ਪੈਡਾਗੋਜੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਦਰਸਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
