śarmeti brāhmaṇasyoktaṃ varmeti kṣatrasaṃśrayam guptadāsātmakaṃ nāma praśastaṃ vaiśyaśūdrayoḥ

‘ଶର୍ମନ୍’ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କୁହାଯାଇଛି; ‘ବର୍ମନ୍’ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ-ସ୍ଥିତିର। ଏବଂ ‘ଗୁପ୍ତ’ ଓ ‘ଦାସ’ ଯୁକ୍ତ ନାମ ବୈଶ୍ୟ‑ଶୂଦ୍ରଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ।
