Type: kshetra
Listener: (contextual) interlocutor in the section
Scene: A wise pilgrim performs prescribed bathing and charity at the Ayodhyā tīrtha; above, Śrīpati (Viṣṇu) reclines on Śeṣa, radiating serenity, symbolizing the devotee’s inner union.
Rightly performed pilgrimage-practice (snāna and dāna) yields both worldly well-being and the highest devotional goal—union with Viṣṇu.
The Ayodhyā-region tīrtha being discussed throughout this chapter, presented as a locus for both prosperity and spiritual realization.
Perform snāna and dāna at the tīrtha vidhivat (according to injunction), with reverence and within one’s means, grounded in bhakti.
