viṣṇuruvāca | caṇḍīṃ kuru samīpasthāṃ lokapālanatāṃ prabho
Viṣṇu
Tirtha: Kedāra (Kedāranātha)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A calm yet authoritative dialogue scene: Viṣṇu addresses Śiva, gesturing toward Caṇḍī to be stationed nearby as guardian of the worlds; Caṇḍī stands ready with weapons, poised but controlled.
Cosmic order (dharma) is maintained through divinely assigned responsibilities carried out in harmony among deities.
Kedārakhaṇḍa situates the dialogue within the sanctity of Kedāra/Kedārakṣetra, though this verse itself focuses on divine appointment.
No ritual is stated; it is an administrative request regarding guardianship (loka-pālana).
