श्मशानस्तंभमभितो नीयंते कंठपाशिताः । पिपासिता अपि न तेंऽबुस्पर्शमपि चाप्नुयुः
śmaśānastaṃbhamabhito nīyaṃte kaṃṭhapāśitāḥ | pipāsitā api na teṃ'busparśamapi cāpnuyuḥ
ଶ୍ମଶାନ-ସ୍ତମ୍ଭକୁ ଘେରି କଣ୍ଠରେ ପାଶ ବାନ୍ଧା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଟାଣି ନିଆଯାଏ। ତୃଷ୍ଣାରେ ଜର୍ଜର ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଳର ସ୍ପର୍ଶ ମଧ୍ୟ ପାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
