eṣa te nṛpa jāmātā caṃdrāṃgada mahābalaḥ | asya vaṃśamathotpattiṃ śrotumicchāmi tattvataḥ
‘ହେ ମହାବଳୀ ନୃପ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଦ! ଏହିଜଣ ଏବେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଜାମାତା। ଏହାର ବଂଶ ଓ ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତିର କଥା ମୁଁ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱତଃ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛି।’
