Ṛṣis (sages) addressing Sūta
Tirtha: Naimiṣāraṇya (implied)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sūta
Scene: A circle of sages in an araṇya-āśrama respectfully addressing Sūta, acknowledging they have heard Viṣṇu’s greatness completely; the mood is studious and devotional, preparing for the next topic.
Śravaṇa (devotional listening) to divine māhātmya is portrayed as purifying and sin-destroying.
No tīrtha is named; the focus is on the merit of hearing Viṣṇu’s glory as a dharmic purifier.
Implicitly, śravaṇa of purāṇic kathā (listening to sacred narration) as a meritorious act.
