Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Significance: Frames social cruelty and hypocrisy as pāśa: harming others’ āśā (hope) and speaking apriya-vākya blocks inner śuddhi required for Śiva’s grace.
It identifies marks of pasha (bondage): cruelty, joy in harming others’ hopes, and speech that wounds—traits that obstruct the soul’s movement toward Shiva’s auspiciousness (śivattva) and liberation.
Linga-worship is not only outer ritual; it demands inner alignment with Shiva’s auspicious nature. Harshness and destructive conduct contradict the spirit of Saguna Shiva devotion, which emphasizes compassion, restraint, and dharmic speech.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a vow of ahiṃsā in speech—avoid cruel or hope-breaking words; combine with simple daily Shiva-puja (bhasma/tripundra and rudrāksha if initiated) as supports for inner purification.
