Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
It explains embodiment as a process where the jīva associates with material causes (kāraṇas), indicating bondage (pāśa) and the need for Shiva’s grace to transcend causality and attain liberation.
By showing how the jīva becomes bound through bodily formation, it implicitly points to Saguna Shiva worship (Linga worship, mantra, and devotion) as a means to purify the bound soul and turn it toward Pati (Shiva), the liberating Lord.
The takeaway is contemplative: meditate on the difference between the jīva and its causal bonds (karma/impurities), and support that insight through Shiva-upāsanā such as japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined yogic restraint.
