Seeing Ravana swooning, great soul Rama took up a crescent shaped arrow and hastily broke his crown into pieces which were shining bright red like the Sun.
It highlights restraint and righteous conduct in battle: even while fulfilling kṣātra-dharma (warrior duty), Rāma demonstrates controlled force—subduing and signaling dominance without needless excess in that moment.
Rāma’s action serves his truthful vow to restore order and uphold righteousness; Satya here is not merely speech but steadfast fidelity to a just purpose, expressed through disciplined, proportionate action in war.
