अकम्पनवधः — The Slaying of Akampana
Hanuman’s rout of the Rakshasa host
एतेऽत्रबलवन्तोहिभीमकोपाश्चवानराः ।द्रुमशैलप्रहरणास्तिष्ठन्तिप्रमुखेमम ।।6.56.4।।
ete ’tra balavanto hi bhīma-kopāś ca vānarāḥ |
drumāśaila-praharaṇās tiṣṭhanti pramukhe mama ||6.56.4||
“ଏଠାରେ ମୋର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସେଇ ବଳବାନ ବାନରମାନେ ଦଣ୍ଡାୟମାନ—ଭୀମ କ୍ରୋଧଶାଳୀ, ଦ୍ରୁମ ଓ ଶୈଳକୁ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର କରି ଧାରଣ କରୁଥିବା। ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ନାୟକମାନେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ, ସେଠାକୁ ମୋତେ ନେଇଯାଅ।”
Those Rakshasas, endowed with prowess, on entering Lanka got together and paid respects to Hanuman.
A warrior’s dharma is to face the opposing force directly and seek the true leaders rather than striking blindly; the verse frames battle as a confrontation with responsible command.
Akampana identifies the formidable Vānara fighters and asks to be taken to the front where their chiefs are positioned.
Martial resolve (kṣātra-tejas): the determination to engage the strongest opponents at the front.
