This sage is such type that he (his spiritual power) will not allow a liar or a cruel man or a deceitful or lustful or wicked person to thrive here.
Adharma traits—lying, cruelty, deceit, lust—are incompatible with a sacred space sustained by tapas; truth and self-control are required to ‘thrive’ there.
Rama explains that the region sanctified by the sage does not permit immoral persons to endure.
Satya and brahmacarya-like restraint: the verse contrasts the sage’s purity with the vices that cannot remain near it.
