Sandhi Resolution Notes: गच्छेद्ब्रह्मणा = गच्छेत् + ब्रह्मणा; पितृपिंडं = पितृपिण्डम् (anusvāra sandhi in Devanagari).
It prescribes bathing (snāna) at the sacred site and then offering the ancestral piṇḍa (pitṛpiṇḍa) with devotion as part of pitṛ rites/śrāddha observance.
The verse frames the tīrtha’s sanctity by stating it was created by Brahmā long ago, grounding the site’s authority in a primordial divine origin.
It explicitly says the offering should be done 'bhaktyā'—with devotion—indicating that inner reverence is integral to the merit of the rite, not merely the external procedure.
