FAQs

It equates the merit (phala) of major Vedic sacrifices like the Agniṣṭoma with the spiritual benefit of directly beholding a revered deity—here, Indra (Purandara).

Agniṣṭoma is a prominent Soma-sacrifice and a benchmark of Vedic ritual excellence; citing it highlights that even the highest ritual rewards are matched by the power of divine darśana.

It suggests that sincere reverence and direct encounter (darśana) can be spiritually transformative, emphasizing inner devotion and grace alongside (or beyond) elaborate ritual performance.
