svakīyaṃ hi mahābhāgāḥ svarūpamidamuttamam | saṃtaptaṃ mānasaṃ medya striyāṃ saktaṃ sucaṃcalam
Unspecified (context needed to identify the narrator/speaker in Bhūmi-khaṇḍa 78)
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bibhatsa
Type: city
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It portrays inner turmoil: a mind “burning” with distress, made unstable by attachment and desire.
The focus is on the speaker’s clinging attachment and mental agitation, a common dharma-text theme warning against uncontrolled desire rather than blaming a person.
Recognize and admit one’s mental restlessness and attachments; such honesty is the first step toward restraint (saṃyama), clarity, and dharmic living.
